Brief Description:  Testing metal flake/pearlesences Autumn Sunburst

This was scary!! The first time I shot non-white paint - it was bloody red all over the place. And it was a metal flake type paint.

Doug, my paint guy suggested 1) pracdtice on something and 2) talk to the pros up the street who shoot this stuff all the time.

OK, Doug suppliled me with a fender someone left on his lot and suggested I paint it. I also talked to to Robbie at Commercial Refinishers and he said the challenge is to be consistent and steady with the gun to avoid runs and gutters with the glitter. Using a cross coat technique, it worked pretty well. The corner at the front got a run because it seems to always be difficult to tiurn corners and stuff. Have to focus on not trying to overdue the turns and corners - do less there.

Anyway, I'm very happy with how this turned out. Totally psyched!! SWEET!

PS - it looks like a fully saturated dark red in poor light - in the sun it pops into a iridescent orange. Very nice indeed. Worth the search.
