Fuselage Step installation All holes were final drilled, steps aligned and block installed in QB. Step was primed but packaged separately. All went together well.
Need to figure out 1: Do I want to add inspection plates in baggage floor so steps don't need to remain installed and so they can be inspected and serviced. And painted separately - I decided to simply drill the guide holes in the skin and baggage floor. Otherwise the steps will be inaccessible (12/15/07) 2- Do I want powder coat or otherwise put durable finish on step. - No - after consulting with Tech Counselor - he saw no problem with installation as specified by Vans.
Completed Section 30-1 thru -4 in December 07
