Brief Description: Center stack cutouts & mounting
First panel cuts. Stacked up G430, SL30, and PMmodel?? Used original Van's panel stock to make side mounts for the stack. Just kept drilling holes until the weight didn't seem punitive
Cut hole in Steins panel stock with die grinder and cutting wheel. Drilled out corners first. Hand filing allows very precise edges, pretty quickly, as long you don't make errors with die grinder first. . Flat files for the edges, square file for the corners. The rocker switches will be the test.
Obtained frame for GRT Horizon MFD. Allows precise drilling and cutting. The height dimension requires attention l if you want a clean edge.
Thick stock (aprox .08x) on Stein panel seems very easy to work with. Thicker would just be too thick. I'm guessing the thinner just isn't as comfortable to work with but I really don't have anything to compare it to.
