I figured out a simple fix for the slightly off-center holes to mount the brake reservoir. Slightly elongating the mounting holes would allow me to mount it on the firewall with the mounting bolts in line with the rivet holes. I drilled the firewall to accept a 3/16" mounting bolt in accordance with the plans.
I countersunk any holes remaining in on the F-605 bulkhead.
I then spent the remainder of the day in the laborious process of deburring holes, dressing edges, and sanding out minor imperfections. One of the biggest issues about working with a kit with 20 year old aluminum is that it takes more time to make sure the metal is bright again. I cleaned the firewall pieces and layed them out for easy identification. I took a scotch brite pad and Eko Clean to the pieces to remove dirt and surface oxidation.
I haven't been taking many pictures. Pretty boring stuff cleaning the surfaces....
