I have decided to finish up as much of the bottom as possible before continuing . When i installed the lower skin I did not even try to cut the recess for the lower acess panel because it could be done more accurately and easier with a router later .
recess cut in at 3/4 inch and 3/32 in deep. plate made from 1/16 aluminum - heavier than I wanted but thickness needed for recessed flush head southco fasteners.
