even though I had pinned and fitted the upper turtle deck skins , after gluing them in place the ply had creeped or was streched as it was fastened down during the glueing process . I only glue skins in place when humidity is above 60 % for 48 hours and the temperature is high 75 deg and above. I dont know if I blew my longeron attach measurement or it was a combination of expansion and streching - but the ply covered more than 3/8 of the longeron and had to be dressed back for the lower aft skin . This was done with a straight edge - ply was scribed and cut thru just to the loneron . Most of the ply was split from the longeron by carefully running a utility knife just out side the longeron. This also provided insight at the glue joint - and proved to be very strong . The remaing ply and glue was hand shaved with a piece of glass until the longeron was clean for the glue joint.
