Brief Description:  Firewall , 152 & 234 bulkhead attach

Glue in Firewall , stion 152 & 234 bulkheads with T-88.

Note : Per the Builders manual it was expected that the lower longeron joint at station 123 would break when pulling the sides in to meet the firewall, that this was acceptable. This did happen on the pilots side. On the copilots side it remained intact , instead the lower longeron joint at the flap trailing edge position broke. This was unacceptable because it caused different body symetry - the copilot side was noticably flater in shape. This was corrected by first clamping a stiff back from well behind the broken joint past the joint - the fuse is straight from tail to station 123 and the joint being repaired is 12- 15 inches aft of 123. With the lstiff back in place the sides were pulled back into the firewall - this time the proper joint broke and created the proper symetry. With the stiff back still in place holding the broken jiont aft of 123 in place , a spruce block was formed and glued into place to strenghten the joint . This was done for both sides.

Note 2 : picture 2 shows stiff back in place, picture 3 shows blocks glued and clamped in place on lower longeron.
