Much of this type of work is going on behind the building although there is some building or component progress -alot of time is being spent on systems . Much of the delay on the inner gear doors has been deciding how to close them . I have chose to attach the doors per the jefair 1900 pdf . - and to actuate them within the hydrualic system as per the lancair legacy - which is very similar to the barracuda . I hope to eliminate the jefair cam system by locating a small Tom thumb 3/4 diam x 4 " stoke hydualic cylinder direct to the door . The ram will be internally cushioned and metered for controlled operation to prevent slamming open or closed. For failsafe an internal spring to extend the ram under loss of hydrulic pressure thus opening the door. A sequencing valve will be used at the gear stop per the lancair design for operation.
