Brief Description: set stab establish 2 degree nose down
The stab was taken out of storage , being built 2 years ago . It fit the fuse perfectly very nicley.
to set the 2 degree nose down I used a scrap peice of wood between and on the HSD horizontal stab datum lines , which had been made /marked during stab assembly. With the board installed i placed a level on it - which alowed me to find level stab plane parallel to fuse datum plane HFD.
Clamped stab in this position and marked station 234 bulkhead with referance line indicating the position of the forward stab spar top . Per the manual 2 degrees down over the stab length = .534 inches. Measured .534 inches down from line previously drawn - and set 2 degree nose down line.
