Final sizing of stock , checked grain orientation , trail clamping and glued left spar
Depth is 8 9/16 to match ribs , the center boards which would mathmatically be 1 1/16 " to achieve the overall depth of 8 9/16 ended up being 15/16 th Deep . I scrached my head a while at this even though I knew the reason , I just didnt want to trash a spar . The spruce stock varies slightly heavy in thickness adding an addition 1/8 inch overall .
