Pulled all staples , removed any errant glue. Filled all staple punctures with west epoxy mixed with fillet filler .
Note : as learned on the outer wing panels - if the staple holes are not filled the following happens - 1. If any leg of the staple has missed the underlying member - the "hole in the skin will allow the weather proofing epoxy to run through the hole when this work is being done . This creates more sanding work and only occationally fills the holes.
2. Even if both staple legs hit the underlying member - when the deck cloth goes on the exterior of the skin - a small bubble / void will develope between the cloth and skin over the holes. This is alot of added work - the bubble will not be eliminated until the hole is completely full of epoxy voiding the "traped air".
