A piece of 0.050" aluminum was bent in the hydraulic press to match the angle between the floor plan and front of the instrument pod. The bracket was then attached to the floorpan and front of instrument pod to stiffen the instrument pod up. The cabin halves were fitted together multiple times and 1/8" holes were drilled along the seams so that nut plates could be eventually installed to allow assembly and disassembly of the halves. Clecos were used to temporarily hold everything in alignment. Cutouts around the landing gear and tail section were marked for clearance and a small 1" disc drum was used to make adjkustments to the fuselage openings.
