The openings for the landing gear and other components were rough cut to within about 3/8" on both cabin halves with a jigsaw. I found that a normal steel blade melted and became useless after a few cuts on the fiberglass. A tile type saw type blade with diamond grit seemed to work the best. After the initial cutouts were made the holes were opened to the markings with a 1" drum sander using a rotary air tool. The halves were then fitted to the frame and slight adjustments were made to allow more clearance where clearance was needed. Final sanding of the openings will be saved until the cabin halves are bolted and fitted together.
