Brief Description: Seat Pan Nut Plate Installation
A screw was put in from the backside of the seatpan nutplate to act as a jig for drilling the nutplate rivet holes using a #41 drill (Image 1). The rivet holes were then countersunk with a 120 degree microstop. The center holes were then enlarged using a #20 drill so that the #8-32 center screw could fit in without binding. (Image 2). Finally 3/32" countersunk aluminum rivets were used to secure the nutplates in place from the backside of the seatpan flange (Image 3).
