Brief Description: Cut Out Shoulder Harness Slots In Seat Back
The slots for the shoulder harnesses were cut into the seat back. An undersized self-centering drill was used to place a hole on the upper and lower ends of the shoulder harness marking. Be sure to use very little pressure and run the drill fast to prevent chipping of the gelcoat....like I did with my first hole on the top of the left side of image 2 (this is also why you start with an undersized drill). Once the holes were drilled, a cut off disc was used to cut inside the vertical side line markings. Once there is a rough opening, the holes can be enlarged by filing and sanding to achieve the final slot as shown in image #3.
