Another one I'm proud of, almost bought a remote oil cooler adapter from Great Plains Aircraft, their prop hub went on so easily that I will be sourcing most aircraft adapting parts from them. But when I took the old cooler out to take apart and toss parts I didn't need I realized it would be really easy to adapt.
So I unbolted cooler and set aside, removed lower stud, and cut the top portion with the other two studs in it (save weight, and dimension for smaller cowling). Ends up with an inlet and outlet port facing the flywheel that can easily be threaded for a pipe adapter.
Waiting on tap for pipe threads to arrive and it'll be done. Easy, simple, and cost effective.
