Brief Description:  Rod install, Hub, etc.

Cleaned plastigage off crank and rods, and pre-lubed bearings for installation using red locktite.

Used VW rebuild guide to ensure proper orientation of rods (small bump up), checked that there were no spots for binding, and did the "drop test" where you see if they fall at roughly the same rate, once that was confirmed, I used feeler gages to check the side clearances on the rods and again all checked out.

Orinted crankshaft verticle using flywheel (which will be cut later) for installation of #1 Main Bearings, Oil Slinger, and Woodruff Key. With that done Prop Hub was heated with MaPP Gas torch until it had a purple color on lower portion, and it was slipped over crank "nose" and tapped down with hammer to ensure proper seating. IT IS NOW AN AIRPLANE ENGINE!
