I didn’t make any progress on the wings this week, but I needed to clear some space on the work bench to start riveting. So, I built the wing cradle. This will give me a place to put the wing that I’m not working on, and I need to build it anyway. I used Mouser’s design and construction plans to build it (http://mouser.org/projects/rv-10/wingassembly.html). His plans laid out all the cuts and dimensions and was easy to follow. I’m holding off on the carpet sling until I complete and attach the leading edges. For now, I added a couple of temporary boards across the bottom so I could place the right spar and aft rib assembly, while I work on the left wing. I’m happy with the way it turned out…Gorilla glue and screws and its rock solid.
