Brief Description: Wing construction begins (13-1)
Well, I’ve wrapped up the condition inspection on the RV-12, which included some challenging Service Bulletins, and she is up and flying again. I also finished deburring the large ribs on the -10, so now I can start building the wing. First things first, I had to move the Empennage off the work benches. So I found a spot in the garage ceiling that I could hang it and it wouldn’t be in the way. I wrapped the openings with saran wrap or tape to minimize the dust and spiders. Now that the Emp is off the table I was able to pull the spars down and start on the end caps. Not to big a deal so far but it did require me doing a little priming. The holes seemed to already be matched drilled, so the fit up was easy. I still need to finish riveting, but at least I’m in builder mode again.
