Brief Description: Attached elevator control horns (9-10)
I did a little research to see which direction people were placing the manufactured head of the rivet. What I observed was that people did it both ways. Conventional wisdom would say to place the manufactured head on the thinnest part, and I normally follow that. I decided to do just the opposite after seeing the access to the manufactured head. If I ever had to drill these out it would be really challenging from the interior angled section, so I chose to keep the manufactured head next to the control horn. Looks ok and I don’t think it’s going anywhere. The other common thread I found on these was that the holes didn’t line. Once I installed the clecos it seemed to fit just fine, although I did have to ream a few of the holes to get the rivet installed. Left and right sides control horns attached.
