Brief Description:  Assembled trim servo bracket (11-9)

I primed the trim servo components and assembled everything together. The two fwd bracket that the bell crank fits between were a too tight for the washers called out, but the instructions allow the washers/spacer to be thinned down. I ended up having to thin them down to about .023”, which took a little while. If I had a nice $10K surface grinder, then it would have been easy, but I just used my belt sander with the washers taped to a popsicle stick. I had to keep replacing the tape as the washer started heating up and sending the washer flying, but I managed to thin them down. It was also a challenge to tighten the bolts of the trim servo to the bracket…there’s just not much room, so I ended up grinding down a socket to fit the space. I did get to try the servo travel with a 9V battery. It looks like it is working fine with no binding. That is it for the Empennage…just need to find a spot for it until I’m ready to attach the tail feathers. I’ve started deburring the ribs for the fuel tanks…it’ not very exciting, but it must get done. I also need to take some time to do the condition inspection on the RV-12.
