Brief Description:  Final size & dimple rudder (7-6)

With the skin on and everything in place I final sized all the holes including the trailing edge. Per the directions I kept a cleco in all the trailing edge holes and removed one at a time to drill. It was slow going but hope it will help make a straight edge.
Next pulled everything apart and started deburring all the holes. For the countersink holes in the trailing edge wedge I purchased the tool from Cleveland to hold the wedge flat…which worked great. I set everything level and using the micro stop in the drill press I only had to slide it to each hole. Countersinking both sides of the hole made me a little nervous, because its not very thick. I did drill a #40 hole in the wedge tool holder so when the countersink gets thin the set will still be centered. Anyway, all the countersinks are complete, and they look good. The real challenge is yet to come when I start riveting…for now it’s time to start priming and read up on back riveting the ribs.
