I went down to Home Depot and picked up a 24"x72"x1 1/4" thick piece of edge glued pine table top material and 8' of 1 1/2" piano hinge. I ripped the table top to two 8" wide pieces on my table saw. I layed the two ripped boards on top of the other and screws the piano hinge to the edge. I researched other builder sites and most used door hinges spaced at intervals. I decided to use a piano hinge to keep the jig from bowing when I bend the elevator skins.
