The front deck for the sliding canopy consists of 3 ribs attached to the firewall. The center rib F-7108A has an F-7109 plate and F-7108B angle riveted to it as called for in DWG 24 for the sliding canopy. I marked a center line on the angle to locate the AN470AD rivets. The center rib already has the holes prepunched. I aligned the holes in the rib with my center line on the angle and clamped it in place. The end and bottom of the angle line up with the end and bottom of the rib at the firewall. I matched drilled all the holes through the angle to #30 using the holes in the rib. I also match drilled the two AN3-5A bolts holes through the angle and plate. Next I clecoed the plate to the rib and match drilled the holes to #30. I disassembled the parts and deburred the holes. I deburred all the edges and cleaned the parts with a scotch brite pad and dawn detergent. After drying a wiped down the parts with lacquer thinner and primed with self etching gray primer. Once dry, I riveted the assembly with AN470AD as called for in DWG 24.
