Fitting the F-6111 ribs to the upper fusalage skin F-7112 turned into a real chore. Referencing DWG 41 and doing some research on builder forums confirmed this would not be an easy task. The ribs first had to be trimmed to length before they would fit into place and I had to get the cut angles at both ends just right. I had to cut and fit each end several times to get the length right. Next I had to twist and flute each rib so that they would follow the contour of the upper fusalage skin and align with the pre punched holes in the skin. I clamped the rib in place and started to drill the holes through the ribs using the skin as a guide. Once that was done I removed the ribs and deburred the ribs and skin.
