23 -29 July OSHKOSH Flew to Chicago via Paris and then by coach to Oshkosh for a most amazing week. Tour was organised by Neil Bowden from Johannesburg. Camped in the South African group camp called Plakkersfontein. The Americaans can really organize - Total of 500,000 people visited the show over the week - lots of campers - over 30 thousand someone said..My mission was to seek out another possibility for an engine. The Rotax was always the easy option ... but was there any other possibility?? By Day three I was totally confused .... but lotsof talking and advice from guys with a whole lot more experience than me.... Lycoming IO 233 came up tops inpreference to the Rotax 912 iS , Jabiru, Continental and UL series engines
