Trimmed away the excess material on the HS to allow the elevators to pivot. I started by attaching everything, marking and measuring, then drilling a hole to create a round edge. Used the cutoff wheel to remove the rest of the material and then smoothed it with a file, then 3M pad.
I didn't use a protractor to measure the movement as it is about 60 degrees up and until the horns hit the spar on the down side.
There is no guidance on how big the gap between the HS and the elevator arm has to be. I will use the gap at the back of the HS as a guide and then trim to achieve a constant gap.
