So i tried to do the back riveting to get the rivets into place next to the gear weldment. I took a 12" offset back riveter and removed the plastic sleeve over the end. I then used to to try to hammer the rivets from under the fuselage. Bent the rivet first try. The second try knocked the back riveting plate loose. I carved a new wood block and then fit a smaller back riveting bar into place and tried again. Same result. I went up one size to get a better fit. That too bent first try. I finally admitted defeat and drilled out all the longeron rivets on the lower right front where this problem is. I had to have Nathan help with the screw removal as well. Now I will have access to the front and rear rivets to re-drive them. I ordered special up one size rivets from Spruce which should come this week and hopefully we can finally finish the lower part of the fuselage.
