Finished the tie down plates. Drilled out the holes for the rivets, counter-sank holes, then deburred and primed. I used a can of SEM self etching primer after cleaning everything with acetone. Got the tip from the EAA web site. Spray on the primer and dry with a heat gun on low. In a minute the part is dry to the touch and can be installed.
Riveted the platenuts in position. Bolted in the tie down plates. I had to drill out the holes in the aileron bell crank brackets with a #21 to allow the bolts to go through. Also had to tap out the bottoms for the tie down bolts.
