Brief Description: Instrument panel removal and painting...
I started the day by removing the instrument panel for painting. Before painting I also cut the opening for the ELT remote control panel. Next I riveted the map box to the instrument panel. Then I spray painted the panel. While the paint was drying I removed the ailerons from the wings so they too can be prepared for painting. I also spent time figuring out the wing fore and aft center of gravity so I can rig a support device to support the wing while painting. Once the panel had dried I began the reinstallation.
