Brief Description: Instrument panel support rib and display install
This past Tuesday my Advanced Flight Systems display system arrived. After a lot of measuring and considering where to position the display on the panel I riveted on the panel support rib (that I had cut off many months ago for repositioning) 1.5 inches inboard of its original position. I also rivetted on the support rib nut plates and drilled the instrument panel screw holes. Then I cut the hole in the instrument panel for the display and spent quite a bit of time getting the edges of the hole and the fit just right. Next I fabricated a drill template and drilled the display retaining screw holes in the panel. Finally I fitted everything to the aircraft.
