Brief Description: NACA intake scoops and top cowling
I have not had the time I like lately as I have been putting time at the Arlington airport for the up comming Arlington Airshow. But today I had some time to play. I assembled the NACA scoops I ordered from Prescott Products and they are in two parts that have to be epoxied and riveted together. Then cut out the pattern and lay out the center line on the out side of the lower cowling on each side and trace out the pattern. After checking twice I used my roto tool with a cut off disk in it and cut out the opening. I drilled for rivets every 35mm along the top and bottom of each scoop and clecoed in place. Removed and deburred all rivet holes. I mixed some five minute epoxy and applied to the flange on the intake scoops and riveted them in place. I installed the cowling hold downs on each side of the cowling.
