Brief Description:  Finished Left aileron

I laid out the rest of the rivet lines and clamped aileron in place. That is one thing you have to do at all times keep it clamped when drilling and riveting. The firs aileron I did I had to take apart and clamp it in place to make it flat. So clamp it down when ever you can and especially when you are riveting. I used my roto zip to cut the openings in the leading edge. The drawings are hard to fine the overall measurement on the aileron but when you build the frame the aft ribs should be 321mm from spar to back of frame as per the drawings but when you put the skin on the back of the trailing edge to the spar should be 326mm and the leading edge should be the 120mm as per the drawing. Make sure the rivet line in the spar is not more then 12mm from the front of the spar as there is not alot of material in the edge of the leading edge skin on the bottom and the rivet line comes close the edge. I measured the 120mm back from the front of the skin and ran a mark the full length of the skin so when I slid it under the trailing edge skin to drill the rivet holes I could keep it straight. ( the leading edge skin goes on the top of the trailing edge skin but I like to put the trailing edge skin on first to stabilize the frame work.) Deburred rivet holes and cleaned and primed back of skins. Clecoed and clamped aileron in place and riveted together.
