Installed spacers on all four head set jacks. I had Definitive Avionics out of Bellingham WA stop by and do the Transponder checks and they looked over the income system for me and found that I was grounding out at the head phone jacks and need to install the isolation washers on them. When I paid my bill in Bellingham they gave me a set of the isolation washers for the four jacks. Wow what a different it made. The setup I received for the Microair radio, transponder and income did not have the isolation washer in it and did not show them as needed. It helps to get good advice now and then. I sealed the firewall were the carb heat cable came through after I had moved it to its new location over the throttle. Finished up the decals and markings of fuel selector and switches. Now all I have left to do is finish the POH with the weight and balance pages and fax the FAA for the inspection. The DAR that I want to use wont be back until Aug 4th then I will talk to him and start the process of the Airworthy Certificate. Wow it sure feels good. I had the data plate made at Impact Inc. for $5.00. They make tags for marking hydraulic hoses and pipes. They use stainless steel tags and uses lasers to engrave them. The requirement is for the builder, model and ser number to be on it and it must match the planes registration. Their web site is www.impactwiremarking.com and they will send you a photo of your project for your approval. I marked the door handle for the direction it opens from the outside, the fuel drain and keep static vent clean.
