Brief Description: Vertical Stabilizer skin on both sides
Check laser for vertical stabilizer alignment. Laid out rivet line on aft edge of left side of vertical stabilizer and drilled and clecoed. Removed right side skin on vertical stabilizer and marked left skin for rivet line on inside. That is why you do not want to rivet the skins on the vertical stabilizer until you have both side drill and de-burred. Removed left skin and marked rivet line between the two lines and center punched and drilled from the inside out. Reinstalled skin and clecoed in place along bottom, top, back and clamped along the front edge. Drilled the center stringer line using holes already drilled from the back and clecoed ever third one. I did this same thing when I did the right side. Removed left skine and de-burred both skins and vertical stabilizer frame. Re-installed both skins and cleoced in place. Re-checked alignment and started rivetting vertical stabilizer with 410 rivets. Set up and laid out rivet line on leading edge of vertical stabilizer skin and drilled and riveted every fourth hole. Thats it for tonight I will drill between the clecos next time. I will be leaving the leading edge in clecos untill I run the wireing for the litght on the vertical stabilizer.
