Brief Description:  Mounted engine to engine mount then to FW

Well tonight I finally got some time to go out in the garage and play. I have watched the HomebuiltHELP video on Jabiru Engine Installation Seminar. It is a must if you are installing this engine as it has some very good points. The engine should be mounted to the engine mount first as this makes it a lot easer to install on the Firewall. I purchased a lot of the components that Jabiru Pacific sells for the Zenith 601 installation like the air box, cabin heat, heat muff, battery box, oil collection tank. I know I will be playing with these parts for awhile to find out what best works for me but I feel very good about wear most of them are now. Like the air box as they it will keep the scat hose parallel with the carb. Biggest thing to give me a lot of thought is the cabin heat. If I put it low I can access the heat muff easer. If I put it high I will have to run ducting in the cabin. I will have to modify the Gascolator mount I can see. But I do have a lot of room behind the engine so that is a good thing. Well Saturday I have put aside to work on the plane so I will do more then.
