Brief Description:  Time for skin

I prepared all skin material by cleaning and etching with green pad and priming. Drilled AN3-5 bolt hole and bolted in place. I had to use AN3-6 bolt to make the threads come out right. I drilled Placed PB-46 & PB-47 in place. Sure is nice to have the cleco clamps they helped a lot. First placed PB-46 in place and clamped with cleco clamps. Marked areas to be trimmed and removed for trimming. The drawings show PB-46 to be on top of PA-22 but I wanted to maintain the rain shingle effect and slipped it under PA-21, PA11 & PA-22. Had to drill and cut a slit for the flange to slide over PA-22 next to the vertical stabilizer. Make sure you drill a hole at the end of the slit and then cut it. Laid out rivet pattern along top flange and drilled into PB-33 and clecoed every third hole as I went. I then drilled for the 512 rivets along the corner edge and clecoed with the wing nut clecos to pull it tight. Placed PB-47 and clamped in place under PB-46. Layout out rivet pattern and drilled along top of skin into PB-33 and clecoed every third hole. I drilled for 512 rivets along out side corner. Formed aft part of PB-47 to vertical stabilizer and drilled for 512 rivets. I sure like the way the wing nut clecos pull the parts together. I removed both skins and trimmed PB-47. Cut out for inspection cover and made cut for PJ-288 and installed PJ-288. Don had suggested this in an email to me on Friday and I see where this is the best time to do this. It would be hard to do by the drawings. Do not rivet the top of PB-46 & PB-47 to PB-33 at this time. De-burred all holes and re-installed PB-46 & PB-47 and riveted 512 rivets and 410 rivets. The rivets for the bottom of PB-47 that go into stringer PA-14 are dimpled for the 412 rivets. Placed PB-48 behind PB-46 & 47 and lined up with 12mm overhang on back and marked front top for trimming of excess material. Make sure PB-48 extends down 10mm past holes drilled in PB-46 & 47. Drilled and clecoed every third hole along PB-46 & 47. Removed PB-48 and formed edge with edging tool as I have
