Brief Description: Installed battery connector in firewall
Making large holes, especially irregularly shaped ones, in galvanized steel makes me long for the good old days of working with aluminum. To keep the battery connector from spinning in its mounting hole, it had to have two sides that were flat, which requires quite a bit of hand filing. As you'd expect, the steel is pretty tough stuff, so it just takes elbow grease and patience. Mission accomplished. Other than small holes for the wires transmitting data back to the instrument panel, I believe I've completed most of the major modifications to the firewall.
