Using the prescribed crimpers and silicone dielectric compound, I fabricated the coil wires for installation behind the firewall. Like anything else in this project that you've never done before, it is no big deal, with the right tools and reasonable care. The most challenging part is stripping the insulation layers to reveal the spiral wound core without nicking the winding. Once you've done that, the crimping tool makes light work of the rest.
