Brief Description:  Riveted rear top skin and canopy flashing

Because the canopy flashing I completed on Friday is directly adjacent to my canopy, I knew that I shouldn't try to polish it after installation. Using a large sheet of heavier aluminum than the parts, I used spray adhesive to hold them down while I used my Nuvite polish and buffer. Once I got them cleaned up, I marked the outline of the parts where they overlap the fuselage, removed the flashing and top skin and primed the overlapping edges. Lastly, I was able to rivet from the canopy to the rear of the airplane. It was great to finally be done with clecoes. No more porcupine in the garage! While I'm waiting for engine parts, I plan to polish the fuselage. It's boring, but not that hard to do and the difference is dazzling.
