With the help of my ever-obliging son-in-law, the front half of the canopy was dropped into place. Due to my unorthodox sequence of tasks, there was some uncertainty about whether the front half would line up and conform to the fuselage. It was immediately clear that my approach had worked -- much to my relief. Very little trimming was required, and the next step is drilling and clecoing so I can do the final trimming.
