As of a recent post, I thought I would be remaking new attach plates longer than shown on the plans to line up with the existing holes in my rear channel. On closer examination tonight, I realized that my present rear channel was not as wide as the fuselage sides, making it difficult to place all the rivets in the attach plate (as shown on the plans) without compromising the amount of the part protruding through the skin for attachment to the wing's rear spar. Both aspects of that geometry seem important to me, so I decided to remake yet another part --- the rear channel. This time I measured the actual width of the fuselage bottom and side skins and produced a channel that fits quites nicely. That sets the stage for my new, thicker attach plates to be placed on the back side of the rear channel.
