Brief Description:  Busy month away from building...but back

A lot has happened since my last entry 30 days ago. As I mentioned then, I was ready to embark on a 5-day jaunt in Switzerland, followed by a week in Germany to bring together the details for our only daughter's wedding in Heidelberg. Right after that we scooted back to the states to prep for the U.S. wedding reception on the 26th. All my plans had me back in the garage around that time. The extended hiatus was due to lumbar microsurgery on my back that happened one week ago today. The great news is that it was completely successful in relieving the sciatic pain I've been living with for six months. I was given the doctor's clearance yesterday, so it was back to work--and play--today. Being careful not to violate the doctor's instructions on max lifting, Joy and I managed to return the fuselage to the ground where it returned to a level platform for building. I'm ready to go -- well almost. As you can see from the last picture, my regular building tools and supplies are mysteriously missing. That came as the result of an earthquake-induced hot water tank inlet leak that came to our attention on Monday. Sooooo, my sweet wife personally moved every bit of equipment to the 3rd car garage side in prep for tank removal (which turned out not to be needed). Sorry, Joy. Anyway, we've hired a young man from our church to mow the lawn tomorrow, and you can guess where I'll be using his assistance right after he puts away the mower. With any luck, I'll be back in place and organized for building after tomorrow. It's good to be "back" (Note: this is my first use of the word "back" as a pun, even though everyone around me has used it multiple times. My resistance has been worn down. My apologies).
