Brief Description:  Safety wired ailerons and measured deflection

I did my last safety wiring today on the ailerons. There are three turnbuckles in the system, two of which were covered by the aileron control stop which I had to remove. The third tiurnbuckle is up behind the passenger seat in an area that can only be seen with a mirror. What a challenge. I was practically standing on my head to do this work and the wrap was effective but not pretty. Two times I drew blood from the sharp ends of the safety wire, leaving my blood on the field of engagament. I guess today I added blood to the sweat and tears of this project. Finally, I checked the aileron deflection. Plans call for deflection of 11.5 degrees, plus or minus 1 degree. My right aileron is 11.4 degrees both up and down and my left wing is 11.0 degrees both up and down. I"m good to go.
