Brief Description:  Safety wiring and safety bulletin on rockers

A few Corvair engines have experienced cracked rocker arms in flight, resulting in dramatically reduced power. Thankfully none of the accidents resulted in airframe damage or injury to the pilot or passengers. The common denominator is that all were equipped with aftermarket rocker arms. William Wynne distributed a safety warning with the strong admonition that all Corvair owners confirm that their rocker arms were original equipment. I had some doubt so I removed the right side valve cover and sent pictures to William. He confirmed that mine are original. My remaining time was spent double safety wrapping the turnbuckles for my rudder and elevator. Not easy work on exposed turnbuckles like the rudder, but it gets significantly more difficult in enclosed spaces like the center channel.
