Brief Description:  Pitot static and encoder certified

Several weeks ago I made an appointment with Pitot Static Guys LLC to come to my hangar for certification of my encoder/transponder combination along with a check of the pitot static system and the resulting calibrated airspeed and altitude readings on both EFIS units. My initial installation of the pitot system was airtight, but the static system had a leak resulting from using compression fittings at the two static ports. They had the correct fittings on their truck and retrofitted the system with Nylock fittings. The results was an airtight system that they certified as within acceptable ranges from 1,000 feet below sea level to 20,000 feet. If anyone ever wanted to certify the airplane for IFR, this system would pass. Good news.
