Brief Description:  Changed oil, cleaned canopy and misc.

The first job today was changing my oil and opening the oil filter. No surprises inside, thankfully. I safety wired both the drain plug and oil filter. My canopy has been developing a pretty ugly layer of dust and airport pollutants over the many months I've been there. Today I pulled out the Novus cleaning system and polished and protected my canopy. It looks great! When I decided to taxi yesterday, my view was grimey and hazy so I elected to fix that today. As you can see, I even brought a clean sheet to cover the canopy, hopefully reducing the number of times I'll have to do this in the future. I found a way to enlarge the AOA tubing so it could fit on the back of the Voyager, so that job is now done except for the calibration. BTW, I put in the oil and fuel additives today and then took N819P for another outing around the airport. The brakes are holding better with each day of brake burn-in. They now hold up to about 1,700 RPM -- up from 1,200 yesterday. I'm going to be out of town on personal and business travel until July 11 so don't expect any new postings. If you see any, it must mean that the hangar fairy has visited!
