Brief Description:  Rigged ailerons and elevator

Over the course of building, I've experimented with Nicopress sleeves and using the swaging tool to crimp them. Today I went from practice sessions to the real deal. Before rigging the ailerons, I made sure the welded plate on the torque tube was straight up and down. I then put both ailerons in neutral position and began making control cables. Surprisingly, things worked out as planned. The only adjustment I need to make is minor adjustments to the locked down length of the steel rods attached to the aileron bellcranks. Minor variations in the cable length require some minor adjustment to return to perfectly neutral. The other adjustment is in the geometry of the dual sticks. Like the aileron threaded steel rods, there are rods that control where each stick will center. I need to kick the pilot side sitck out about 20mm and the passenger stick out about 70mm. All the adjustments I've mentioned should be straightforward. After locking the elevator in neutral position, I rigged the cables for that. A much easier process than the ailerons and because of fairly careful measurement in advance, I don't think I'll need to make any elevator adjustments. The next time I'm out, I should be able to knock out the rudder rigging in short order. I've posted no pictures, but the airplane is definitely more capable than it was this morning. I was able to sit in the pilot's seat and control roll and pitch. Once I finish yaw (rudders) I can move on to installing the flaps.
