Brief Description: Installed rear strobe and wired ELT
I must have spent at least one hour trying to decide where to mount the strobe. Normally it would be mounted on the trailing edge of the rudder, but I don't have a fiberglass fairing to make that possible, and probably won't have one for some time. Just to get it operational, I mounted it on the underside of the fuselage, not far from the tie-down ring. Relocation to the rudder will definitely wait until some future annual condition inspection. I left myself enough coiled up 4-conductor wire to make it happen. While I was routing the strobe wire, I wanted to bring the ELT connectors and antenna cables with it. After I get a couple of specialty batteries required by the ELT remote and audio alert, I can test out and register the ELT.
