Brief Description:  Routed dual stick grip cables

If you are reading this and wonder how it could take 2.5 hours to do what you see in these pictures, you're not alone. The reason is because in the world of experimental aviation there are no two planes that are alike, especially in the way in which they are configured. Wire routing is very important, and I would say at least half of my time tonight was spent trying to figure out the best route to take these cables. The trick is that the wires coming out of the bottom of the dual stick controls need to move in parallel, flexing along their path. I also needed to get the ends up into the area behind the instrument panel and so you can see my solution. The Adel clamps on the fuel line are not tight around the braided line, rather thay are free to move a bit but the wire is held securely by the smaller Adel clamps in such a way that there is some small pressure toward the filter fittings on both ends. Finally, because of this arrangement, the cables coming out of the dual sticks never rub on the floor, but are instead suspended along their route. Now that these wires are in the vicinity of the electrical busses, I'm one big step closer to wiring such things as the aileron and elevator trim motors, the flaps, the starter relays and the push-to-talk radio controls. Oh, by the way I also had to trim my side panels so as not to interfere with the fuel filter or the exit path for the cables.
